Shelby Township and KemperSports to Celebrate Grand Opening of the Tiger Athletic & Community Center

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Shelby Township and KemperSports invite residents, community partners, and local media to celebrate the official Grand Opening of the Tiger Athletic & Community Center (TACC) on Wednesday, July 29, at 4101 Buchanan Road, Shelby Township. The Grand Opening Ceremony will begin between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., followed by an afternoon Open House with guided tours of the new facility.

The Tiger Athletic & Community Center was created to serve as a year-round destination for recreation, fitness, youth sports, and community engagement. Designed to bring people of all ages together, TACC provides modern amenities that support active lifestyles while creating opportunities for families, athletes, and residents to connect.

Following the ceremony, guests are invited to tour the facility, meet community leaders and staff, and experience everything the center has to offer. Complimentary sandwiches, cookies, and refreshments will be available throughout the event.

The new facility features:

  • Basketball courts
  • Indoor turf field
  • Climbing wall
  • Indoor walking track
  • Golf simulator
  • Archery range
  • Arcade and additional recreational amenities

Managed by KemperSports, TACC is designed to serve the recreational needs of Shelby Township while welcoming visitors from throughout the region with high-quality programming, events, and community activities.
